Job Description:

Brightpoint Community College is seeking to fill a nine-month full-time teaching faculty position available for the Fall 2023 semester in economics and business. The selected candidate will teach primarily economics courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats with the potential to teach business courses, as qualified. Full-time teaching responsibilities include teaching the equivalent of 15 credit hours per semester, student advising, course evaluation and development, serving on division and college committees, and the ability to attend and represent Brightpoint Community College at community events and professional meetings and conferences. Teaching assignments may be at both campuses to include a mix of day, night, and/or online classes.
KSA’s/Required Qualifications:
A master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate-level credits in Economics. At least 2 years of related work experience. College level teaching experience and/or relevant work experience. Demonstrated ability to effectively use instructional technologies. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and oral/written communication skills. Willingness to adopt and teach new and emerging technologies and commitment to meeting the needs of and providing instruction to diverse populations. Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, distance-learning and/or course development. A sound understanding of the subject matter. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Coursework and/or teaching experience in Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. 18 graduate hours in business administration in order to teach business courses.
