Position Details
Time: 7 weeks

Salary: $650 to $750 per week depending on experience

Camp Medical Director

Salary Range: $550 - $600 week x 5 weeks

Camp Aquatics Director
Position Details
Time: 5 weeks
Pay: $500- $600 week x 5 weeks dependent on experience and certifications
Dates: July 1 - August 5

Camp Counselor
Position Details

Camp Life Guard/Counselor
Position Details
Time: 5 weeks
Dates: July 1 - August 5
Reports to: Waterfront Director & Program Director
Salary Range: $450-$500 Week x 5 weeks depending on experience

Camp Director Requirements
- Must be at least 25 years old or have a bachelor's degree to comply with the NYS Department of Health regulations
- Experience leading and supervising groups of children and/or teens in a recreational or school setting.
- Driver's License
- First Aid Certification Responding to Emergencies (required by staff training week)
- Current certification in CPR/AED
- Pass a pre-employment background investigation
Camp Medical Director Requirements
- RN degree (licensed in the State of New York) or New York State EMT Certification
- Flexible - able to adapt to different environments and schedules
- Confidence in nursing skills
- Responsible, hard-working
- Good bedside manner, friendly and personable
- Strong assessment abilities
- Prior experience with children (does not have to be in a medical capacity)
- Desire and ability to be a team player
- Enjoy an active lifestyle
- Must submit health history record and examination form prior to first day of work
- Have a genuine interest in working with and concern for children with special needs
- Ability to interact with boys and girls ages 5-18 with varying ability levels
Camp Aquatics Director Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a minimum of: ? one season of previous experience as a camp aquatics director at a New York State children's camp; or ? two seasons of previous experience consisting of at least 12 weeks as a children's camp lifeguard which had more than one lifeguard supervising it at a time; or ? 18 weeks of previous experience as a lifeguard at a swimming pool or bathing beach, which had more than one lifeguard supervising it at a time.
- Hold an accepted and current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate as listed on the Fact Sheet entitled "Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification for NYS Children's Camps and NYS Bathing Facilities"
- Annually review and document the review of the camp's safety plan for swimming
- Possess current certification in a training course for lifeguard supervision and management
Camp Counselor Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Experience supervising and working with children, preferably as a camp counselor or teacher preferred
- Ability to pass a background check
- General mobility including, but not limited, to walking, kneeling, and standing, ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Proven ability to maintain a safe environment for others in adherence with provided protocol and standards
- Ability to organize, and lead activities for large groups of children
Camp Life Guard/Counselor Requirements
- Lifeguards must meet all the qualifications of Counselor and have:
- Current certification in First Aid
- Lifeguarding Certification with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer with open water add on or Second year of CPR/AED can be CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or Basic Life Support
- Waterfront Skills with canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards
- Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification a plus
- Prior experience at a waterfront like the camp
