Administrative and Compliance Officer
ADMIISTRATIVE AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER
The CAPE May County Municipal utilities Authority (CMCMUA) is seeking a qualified, dedicated, dependable professional to join their Solid Waste Program team as the Administrative and Compliance Officer.
Major duties and responsibilities of the Administrative and Compliance Officer include: to ensure that all Federal State and County laws, rules and regulations pertaining to solid waste, hazardous waste and recycling are complied with by both the CMCMUA and the users of the CMCMUA facilities and services. In addition the Administrative and Compliance Officer assists the Solid Waste Program Manager with amendments to the county Solid Waste Management Plan and County Recycling Plan including Administrative Actions as required and scheduling Administrative Actions and Plan Amendments through the various county agencies and NJDEP. Performs surveillance of construction and demolition sites as well as solid waste and recycling collection routes to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree from an accredited college and a minimum of two (2) year’s responsible work experience in a professional office environment with one (1) year of work experience in areas related to solid waste.
- Knowledge of local, county and state governmental procedures
- Ability to communicate and work harmoniously with the general public, solid waste contractors, municipal officials and governmental agencies is essential.
- Outstanding written communication skills with the ability to devise procedures and systems to monitor or check the performance of work against established standards of workmanship and output.
- Ability to give instructions and coordinate the activities of several groups in order to accomplish a single objective.
- Must possess a New Jersey driver’s license in order to travel from site to site and may be required to spend long periods of time in a passenger car or truck.
