We are looking for an experienced outpatient therapist to join our team at the King David Aquatic & Therapy Center. We provide individual, client centered care and offer numerous specializations to the community. We offer all 3 disciplines in one location, provide reimbursement for CEU's and licensure, and encourage board certification and clinical specialties amongst our staff including LSVT, McKenzie, dry-needling, vestibular rehabilitation, lymphedema, aquatics, etc. Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends or holidays.
Essential Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy program.
- Licensed in the state of Ohio.
- Knowledge of Physical Therapy theory and practice for various cognitive/physical levels of function.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the physical, emotional, social and biological changes that occurs in the older adult population.
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Follow religious and ethical standards at all times.
- Follow strict confidentiality guidelines of all information of personal or medical nature.
- Must be flexible, have a sense of humor, self directed, accept constructive feedback, enthusiastic, creative, composed, empathetic, sensitive and have an interest in older adults, both cognitively and physically challenged.
- Effective communicator, both orally and written.
- Organized with the ability to prioritize multi-assignment workload.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Follow state practice guidelines, HIPAA, and complete all requirements to maintain state licensure.
- Complete comprehensive evaluation for adult population
- Develop treatment plans individualized for each client and implements program effectively
- Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with facility and federal documentation standards for physical therapy.
- Completes documentation using objective measures, standardized tests, and accurately demonstrating the physical therapy skills required for effective treatment.
- Supervise and provide guidance and assistance to physical therapy assistants and other staff/coworkers.
- Provide training and education to clients, families and other caregivers.
- Work with staff and supervisors to identify personal and departmental deficits and develop systems for ongoing improvement.
- Convey a sensitive, caring attitude and genuine respect for residents, clients, caregivers, families and coworkers at all times.
- Makes referrals to other disciplines or agencies to address the comprehensive needs of our residents and clients.
- Promote a safe environment, reporting any safety issues.
- Demonstrate safe physical therapy techniques including but not limited to transfers, gait training, therapeutic exercise, while following all necessary precautions.
- Contribute to the education of the rehabilitation department. (This may include student education)
- Demonstrates an understanding of reimbursement standards, fiscal responsibility, and appropriate resource utilization.
