Iowa Farmer Today (IFT) Publications is looking for an Agriculture Reporter/Editor to cover everything from crop and livestock production issues to general features and market reports. This reporter also writes for the Market Watch Online newsletter, shoots video and takes photographs to accompany stories. This position works largely independently and would ideally be based from a home office in Central Iowa.
IFT Publications includes the Midwest's leading weekly agricultural publications - Iowa Farmer Today, Missouri Farmer Today, Illinois Farmer Today and Midwest Marketer. The publications reach a combined print circulation of more than 100,000 in addition to vibrant websites.
The successful applicant should have a demonstrated ability to report, write and photograph compelling stories. Candidates should be self-motivated. Experience in Midwestern agriculture is preferred but not required.
