The Richmond Times-Dispatch is seeking a collaborative and ambitious journalist to lead our local reporting team.
This hands-on newsroom leader will accomplish our core mission of creating memorable and consequential journalism that consistently grows audience in our competitive market. That means juggling a variety of assignments - from breaking news, quick-turn updates and explainers to in-depth watchdog and projects - while fully leveraging digital storytelling techniques and tools, as well as video, to connect our journalism with readers.
The ability to identify storytelling and coverage opportunities and quickly marshal resources is crucial to this position.
Strong communication, organizational and coaching skills are musts.
Qualified applicants will have experience with analytics to grow digital subscriptions.
