The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is looking for a versatile, hard-charging and digitally focused journalist to lead our coverage of University of Missouri sports teams. This is a chance to be THE leading source of Mizzou sports news. You'll cover football, basketball and other top sports in the SEC. We want a writer who is comfortable in all facets of a sports beat, from game coverage, to breaking news, to features, to strong analysis. The job entails a full range of preview, in-season and post-season coverage. It includes responsibilities such as podcasts, live chats, newsletters and videos. And we're open to new ideas on how to best cover the team on our digital platforms. This position has yielded a range of top awards in the past, including Sportswriter of the Year by the National Sports Media Association, APSE top 10 national beat writer honors, and Beat Writer of the Year by the Football Writers Association of America. This is a chance to establish, or cement, yourself as a premier college sports writer.
