DeLallo is seeking candidates for a skilled and experienced 1st Shift Maintenance Technician. The primary responsibility is to ensure the on-going operation of machinery and mechanical equipment through preventative maintenance and repair work as needed. The work takes place in a facility that produces food products containing a variety of nuts and cheeses.

We are looking for part-time and full-time candidates!

  • Perform basic equipment diagnosis for both electrical & mechanical issues.
  • Must have an understanding and experience in all phases of 110-480 volt system with higher voltage experience preferred.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all standard electrical components and detect minor equipment problems and correct them before they become major issues.
  • Disassemble/reassemble equipment such as gearboxes, cylinders, pumps, valves, etc. and repair/replace worn or defective parts.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Troubleshoot PLC systems and other control systems and install wiring systems for power and control.
  • Troubleshoot, install and repair ac/dc motors, starters, relays and drives.
  • Welding and machining experience.
  • Install new equipment and understand technical manuals, read blueprints and how to purchase replacement parts necessary to make equipment repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance per planned schedules. Clean and lubricate machinery. Inspect equipment operating conditions. Identify root causes of equipment problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Candidates must be well-versed and have experience that they can demonstrate in all of the areas listed under job requirements section
  • Work on equipment such as compressors, dryers, vacuum generators, liquid systems such as pumps, piping, flow control, 3-phase motors, variable frequency drives, stepper drives, temperature process controls, chillers, cylinders, and motors, conveyor belts, and drilling and milling machines
  • Perform all scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
  • Read and follow operations manuals, diagrams and sketches, and engineering specifications
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and controls using a variety of tools
  • Adjust chain drives and belt tension
  • Grease bearings, adjust gear belt levels, analyze and adjust conveyor belts and check for wear, and replace springs as needed
  • Inform production team of scheduled routine preventative maintenance
  • Monitor compliance for proper operation of machinery and equipment

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance experience in a production/ manufacturing environment
  • Graduate of industrial maintenance apprenticeship program or technical school and 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
  • Candidates must be well-versed and have experience that they can demonstrate in all of the following areas of industrial maintenance: Electrical / Control Wiring, Mechanical, Pneumatics, Liquid Systems, Hydraulics, Welding / Fabrication / Cutting / Drilling
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
